I am considering using the following houserules:

Damage Threshold Alternatives

When a character deals damage over the damage threshold of his target, they may choose to gain an advantage over their target other than the usual moving down the condition track.

When an attack deals damage exceeding the target’s damage threshold, you may choose one of the following options.

  • Knock the target prone
  • Move the target one square in any direction
  • Force the target to drop one of its weapons or an object it is holding

Choosing one of these options replaces the condition track movement, but still deals damage as normal. Any feats or abilities which add to condition track movement would still apply (e.g. Dastardly Strike)
